Recurrent infections A 59 year old female patient, working for the NHS in mental health, came to the Clinic suffering from recurrent infections due to a weak immune system. I was getting frequent throat infections which were interfering with my work and making me feel lousy for several days each time. The clinic practitioner’s explanation and intention to treat the underlying causes of my problem made a lot of sense. I have been taking herbal medicine for the last year and have had only one minor infection. The treatment has been enormously helpful. arthritis and symptoms of the menopause A 56 year old writer came to the Clinic suffering from really troublesome menopausal symptoms and arthritis. What I was looking for was an alternative to HRT. Nothing seemed to work but after a few months with the Archway no more hot flushes and a lot more energy. Then there was arthritis. Again, I found the remedies very effective and the hip pain is greatly reduced. I am very grateful. digestive problems A male comic-strip artist, 60, came to the Clinic with a long history of digestive problems. My GP said I had IBS and because it was a syndrome I would have to take medicine for the rest of my life: something I wasn’t at all happy about but I was in considerable pain every day. Then I heard of the Clinic. It has taken a long time to get better but in the process it came out that my problem was caused by a lingering, previously undetected infection, not IBS, and I have now returned to a kind of normality. One of the things I appreciate about the Clinic is the focused attention of the practitioners. |
pms and hay fever A female artist of 28 came to the Clinic suffering from hay fever and the pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS). The practitioners have a very interested, understanding and patient approach to discovering symptoms and their causes, and to working out a remedy. There is a lot more dialogue with the patient than I have found in ‘conventional’ medicine and the whole procedure is very open and clearly explained.
ibs, headaches, knee pain A 52 year old academic came to the Clinic with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and has since had treatment for headaches and painful knee joints. |
