The Archway Clinic is linked to Middlesex University, providing the clinical training for students on the BSC COURSE IN HERBAL MEDICINE. This course, the first of its kind in Europe, has been running since 1994 and graduates of the course obtain both an honours degree and professional qualification enabling them to practice as a Medical Herbalist. During clinical training students work in small groups with an experienced Practitioner; it includes specific training in clinical skills such as physical examination, diagnostic testing, taking consultations, formulating treatment plans and dispensing herbal medicines.
The Archway Clinic also provides an opportunity for students and health care professionals to observe the practice of Herbal Medicine.

Those studying Herbal Medicine at other colleges, those studying other complementary therapies and those working in conventional professional health care settings are able to attend the Archway Clinic. They observe patient consultations, the dispensing of herbal medicines, as well as having the opportunity to participate in discussions on holistic diagnosis and therapeutic treatment.
The Archway Clinic is running seasonal talks, walks and short courses starting in October 2008 for the general public. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for medical herbalists and other health practitioners will commence in the Autumn - more details later.
